Pretty sure this is the right board to put this...bah, w/e! I'm the leader! I can put this thread under "Pets" If I want to! *mumbles* But back on topic, gonna re-do the skin cause I'm sure everyone is tired of looking at my ugly mug and all the non-plds are out to kill me... So things may look kinda scary if you log in during the middle of the carnage. I'ma try to make it multi-jobed and (If possible...) make it look decent on all monitor sizes. Not sure I can pull that last one off tho

I'd say try to incorparate a group shot, but our roster changes so much it'd be a little hard. Just my 2 cents.

What's your code? Using divs? Wish I could tell ya lol I'm not that tech savvy Mainly just usin' the options given me in the settings and only a few copy/pastes in the header and footer (like the info center on the main page). @kaze, gonna try for something like that But using generic faces/races/jobs for the group so no one gets offended

Its a lot easier using model viewer genaric characters than to actually work with a screen shot from the game. With model viewer you can get a solid color background which is easily taken out and/or replaced with a background of your choice, whereas a screenshot taken of the guild members in-game would be very difficult to manipulate for anything other than just a header banner or something.
Turning it into a background image like the site currently has would be kind of tough.

Yeah, the plan is to us MVs. LS AVs would work But it's impossible to get anyone here with a model viewer to make um lol So gonna go with generic characters. Think I'ma go with a similar layout to what we have no however...not sure I can make one that'll look good no matter the monitor size x.x

Cause I'm on the PS2 Taru Doesn't work unless your comp has FFXI installed and Jemin, that would be a pretty slick idea but it would be impossible to get everyone on at once x.x' EDIT: Got a new background up and a make-shift banner...looks cool but kinda crowded ' What do you guys think?

I know it'd be impossible to get everyone at once X.x but that's why I said make it an event ... Like a brenner thing or whatever at so and so time and so and so day posted well in advance so anyone who wants in the pic can come for a photo shoot and some P.K. action. or any other event you choose to use to encourage members to make it.
Though, the new wallpaper is pretty boss.

I can see Cor and Blu, they're both on the right side. Cor is a blond hume and blu is a taru. I like this one Rovec, Not exactly personalized to EoT, but dosn't offend anyone like you mentioned. I'd say keep it for awhile.

Why do you think just because the background is layering it "looks like crap"? That's what its SUPPOSED to do. TONS of web sites are like that because you just can't tell which resolution everyone's monitor is running at. There's NO way to get around it unless you make a static background (all one color or one repeating object/picture) or set it up using two images, the picture/shadow and the static grey background. And I don't think these boards will let you do that.
It doesn't look like crap, that's the way its supposed to look...

Yeah I have the same problem as Taru with the screen, you're using tables and plain CSS which is easy to play around with =D, your background is only 995 px in width, my suggestion is to get rid of the right column so it doesn't look like the center tables are out of line on larger screens. It's really tough to make complicated backgrounds nowadays because eveyrone has a different size monitor, it's usually a good idea to keep your major imiages in the center of the page and use a generic repeating pattern for the back.
Another thing, is to change your vertical columns on your background to horizontal, on top and on the bottom of the page, and make them 2000px in width, or whatever is the largest width these days >.> So it accomodates all screen sizes. To keep them vertical, you'd have to use layered divs. Divs are like tables, except you can position them anywhere on the page with CSS..
Have fun! ^^
EDIT: It took me so long to reply I never saw the other two post above me lol ^^;;
