Now that we have MC on farm status (we're clearing the whole instance in one night now...this used to take us about four or five days, and that's without a full clear), we've moved on to the next step up - Blackwing Lair.
The other night, we defeated the first boss in BWL, must to everyone's surprise. The first boss is called Razorgore the Untamed. He's kind of a mini-dragon of sorts, which the corrupt orcs of Blackrock mountain are trying to tame into their service.
Its a rather complex fight, yet easy to execute once you know what to do.
So, we fought him and had roughly an hour left, so we moved on to the 2nd boss, Vaelesztraz the Corrupt. This is a HUGE dragon that fills up almost the whole room. This is also a very hard boss fight. Needless to say, we fought him and wiped. By that time it was nearly time to end the raid, so we did. We just wanted to get a taste of what we'd be up against tonight.
I'll post some screens up of Razorgore and Vael here when I get home, I took quite a few last night.
Going from MC to BWL is probably about twice as bad as going from Dynamis San d'Oria to Dynamis Xarcabard. Its a big step up and seperates the meat from the fat, so to speak. You can really tell who carries the raid at this point, and who are slacking.
While Molten Core's boss fights are, for the most part, based on outputting the most damage...the boss fights in BWL are based on strategy, managing threat, knowing every class's roll and using their skills and abilities wisely.
