I haven't been paying as close attention to E3 this year as I'd like. Anyone looking forward to anything or have any kind news from it? Anyone there?

My dad went. Said Wii looks like a toy for game illiterate ppl, and said PS3 looked cool, he said the only draw back is the stupid motion sensor. I quote "People are not going to like these, they want to relax in their chair and play a video game, not work out. They can go to the gym for that."
However, u dont need the stupid Wii controller to play the new smash bro's and it has Solid Snake =D

It's more excercise then beforee true, but it looks a heck of alot more fun. It'll get a ton of non-gamers into gaming @_@; Instead of us staring at a TV looking like Zombies we'll be moveing around, shouting, ect. Anywho Only thing I've seen is the new Super Smash Bro. trailor, it does look pretty nice ^^ FF characters? Can I have it? XD

Taru summed up the Wii pretty nicely...lol. While I have no doubt its gonna have some awesome games, the controller wasn't given the rave reviews people though it would get. But, Nintendo did unveil a "normal" controller for the system too. Supposedly, all games that support the funky Wii motion controls will also have options to revert the game controls back for use on a "normal" controller. The shape of it is kind of like the SNES controllers were.
On the PS3 front, the price was announced, as well as the two different models. $599.99 for the 60GB hard drive, built-in wi-fi, memory card reader and HDMI (true-digital max resolution HDTV 1080i support, but only about 10% of current HDTV models can show you this good of resolution). $499.99 for the 20GB hard drive, no wi-fi (only an ethernet plug), no memory card reader (games are only saved on the hard drive, thus not letting you take a saved game to a friend's house) and only DVI and component video out (still HDTV, but not max resolution - only 780i, 780p and 1080p - all analog specifications).
Final Fantasy XIII was unveiled.
Didn't pay much attention to the Micro$oft stuff...lol.

FFXIII was unveiled.... -_- cant they at least give us the 12th before they bother even messing with the 13th?
as far as the rest of E3 goes, i watched a little bit of it on G4 and Assassin's Creed (i think thats what its called) looked pretty sweet, but i doubt i even want to buy any next gen console anyway

FFXIII was unveiled.... -_- cant they at least give us the 12th before they bother even messing with the 13th? Remember, we're talking about Square-Enix, which is a Japanese company. FFXII has been out since March in Japan. That's why they unveiled FFXIII at E3, because FFXII is completely done as far as the Japanese market is concerned. The game was most likely passed on to Square's North American HQ in Los Angeles for localization about the time the game was released in Japan, that frees up a lot of developer talent to work on the next game and they could have easily progressed to the point of the video they showed at E3 in 2-3 month's time.
