Any MMO worth its salt lets the user adjust graphic display settings to tweak the game to how their particular PC performs while running it. And yes, Vanguard promises a lot, but will it deliver on those promises, that is the ultimate question.

Just so long as it's got Pointy ears and Paladins of some sort, can't be that bad If it doesn't, not worth anyone's time! @_@

It has a lot more "classes" than most other MMOs, actually. A lot more races, too, including three races of elfs. 20 (currently announced) races - www.silkyvenom.com/?page=articles&articleid=519 (currently announced) classes - www.silkyvenom.com/?page=articles&articleid=7And, yes, one of them is a paladin. I say "currently announced" beecause the game is still in closed beta and things can still change drastically. In other news, I talked to someone last night who is in on the closed beta and he says a few features are much better than they promised, mainly the micro-management features like housing, store ownership, owning boats/caravans/horses/carriages and crafting. But, he says, the battle system and a lot of class skills need a lot of work to be more fun. He also said in one of the beta e-mails he got, they mentioned that the graphics are not at all release quality and they said that some of them were even just rough placeholders until the final graphic work is done. Any screen shots you see now would reflect that. So, that answers that question from earlier in the thread.

Eh...I instantly dun like the game as much cause of all the races :x A good number is always nice, but when move of them are just larger/smaller versions of humans or Elves, kinda seems like they're just tryin' to get an impressive number out :x Reminds of of Super smash brothers melee lol Here we have Mario! Here we have his brother, who is almost precisely the same but one different move! Here we have DR. Mario! Instead of fire balls, he throws pills! See the marvels of our vast character options! ;

The reasons for so many races are that there's like three continents. All the human races, for example, supposedly started off as one "race", but then they had civil wars, split and moved over time, and created different cultures.

So the whole universe of the game is pretty much there from day 1, I guess expansions will have to work on simply putting new quests, and storylines and etc... Does this mean they will not have boxed expansions? Which would be interesting.

Oh, I'm sure they'll have boxed expansions, but I'm also pretty sure they'll follow the standard MMO fare and release new content in the form of patches every couple months or so.
