Has anyone played this game? I bought it the other day for PC because I wanted something to play when I didn't feel like playing FFXI or WoW (which is getting more and more frequent these days). I finished Tomb Raider, still working on Kingdom Hearts II, but I don't want to hog the TV from my wife all the time.
So, I bought Oblivion. Its pretty nice. Its like an MMORPG...except not. The world is huge, you can do what you want, how you want. Its just like living life, basically - you can make your life what you want it. Its a very true RPG experience because you're enveloped by this very realistic world.
I do wish the character models were a bit nicer (think Guild Wars models, the best from any PC game I've seen), and I wish the 3rd person view was a bit easier to control, but other than that, its pretty sweet.
So far I've just scratched the very tippy top of the iceberg that is Oblivion. I even created my own class - kind of a Ninja/Thief/Ranger/Assasin hybrid (yes, you can create your own classes with attributes you want and skills you want).
Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone else was playing it. Its also on the 360, but since I'm holding out for the PS2...I bought it for PC.

It is VERY stressful on your system, I have to turn some stuff off, but I try to keep enough to make the world seem like its supposed to. It cuts down my FPS a bit, but its not bad.
I get game crashes about once a day, but WoW does that to me too, and you can save anytime, plus it autosaves frequently, so its no big deal.

Download the mod pack found on fileplanet to fix some of the major bugs, plus some other tweaking that is optional and user-preferred that changes game. Game is fun, I spent more time doing all the thieves guild quests rather than the main quests, got to the final gray fox quests and figured I'd take a break from that. Going to join the dark brotherhood since I'm an assassin. Found that this game gives me the worst eye strain I've ever experienced even from the smallest bit of playing. (which is incredibly small given how much time I'm even gaming anymore ) Anyhow its fun, I downloaded both Oblivion and TR: Legend - which sadly was beaten in half a day, good game though also. Anyways.... Figures you peeps would come back here after killing your PHP board. Its been like that forever - should re-route the link on chadness.com to here for anyone that checks there. Anyhow, two part post on my part.

Guys - I'm Sean, call me that. I haven't been Nats for 6 months at least now and I'll never be a mithra named Nats again. So Sean it is, and I always keep up with you guys I just don't always post. Half of the damned time its to make sure none of the more 'emo' kids didn't go through with slitting their wrists on here >.> Anyways, nice to see ya guys, I'll pop in every once in a while maybe - have fun!
