All right, so me and some friends are putting together some videos of some stunts and other stuff we do during the day. I'm using windows movie maker (Thanks Taru for pointing it out to me) to edit the videos. So far it works great except for one fact. When I take the videos off the DvD discs we use to record them and put them on my computer, they're in IFO format. Window video maker doesn't use IFO format. So I set out to covert the videos from IFO to wmv or something of the sort. After searching google for 2 seconds I found an awesome website called Afterdawn.com. Lots of useful tips in there for video/audio editing. In the site I found and downloaded something called Wondershare DVD to Zune ripper. While I won't be using it for the zune part, it does convert IFO into WMV. Only problem is unless I pay $40 (one-time) I get to watch all my vids with the words trial version floating in the middle of the screen. Also, im not 100% satisfied with the wmv quality.
So here's my qeustion, does anyone know a program that I could download for free (or at least less than $40) that will convert IFO into video files that are recognizable by windows movie maker? If the program can convert the vids into something that has better quality than WMV, that would be sweet. But going for a lower price point is definetly my main objective.
