Ok so I turn my computer on this morning and I cant get on the net. Then this little thingy pops up and says something about limited connectivity and then it has a button "Repair" so I click it and it says its repaired so I turn the internet back on and its slower than a slug racing a turtle.
Then I came over to mega's computer to see if He had the same problem (Obviously not, because I'm using his atm)
I tried to replace the cord and take out my router and plug the internet straight into my computer.

Update your router firmware and make sure you're running Windows update regularly. Also, reset your router (which is done after the firmware install).

idk what firm ware is but i restarted my router. And the problem seems to be my computer. I've tried starting up my PS2 FFXI and My Xbox live and they r working fine from that same router. Also I switched it to my semi-wireless thing and it didnt work there either. So I'm assuming its my computer. The net just wont work Edit: I had the brilliant Idea to do a system restore and Wahlah! It works. I must have DL'd something I guess.

Firmware is like the software that runs your router.

I dont think I even have firmware o.< I didnt install anything for the router. Just plugged it in Stop being a noob Taru. When you buy a PC off the shelf, it has pre-installed software, all you do is "plug it in" and it boots up. Same with your router. However, you have to update that software over time to keep it at optimal performance.
