This isn't to start any arguments, and anything in the survey should be taken as your personal opinion. If you lay down blanket statements, make sure they're backed up by fact and personal experience. 1) What MMORPGs have you played and how long on each? 2) What types of typical MMO "jobs" or "classes" do you gravitate to the most? Why? 3) What types of typical fantasy races do you enjoy playing most? Why? 4) What is most important to you in an MMORPG? Graphics, gameplay, micro-management of your character (crafting, housing, customization, etc.), community, longevity, quest systems, something else? 5) Briefly describe how you arrived at playing the MMORPG you are currently playing. 6) How many hours a week do you usually play MMORPGs? 7) Name one thing about your favorite MMORPG that you dislike. 8) Name one thing about an MMORPG that isn't your favorite that you like and wish was a feature in your favorite game. 9) Are you open-minded and willing to try other MMORPGs, or close-minded and only stick with what you've played and liked? Why? 10) What MMORPG are you looking forward to trying out in the future? No, this isn't anything I found. I made up these questions myself just for some fun. So have at it.

1) What MMORPGs have you played and how long on each?In order: FFXI (1.5 years), Guild Wars (2-3 months), World of Warcraft (2 years, although the first six months or so after release was mainly still spent on FFXI). 2) What types of typical MMO "jobs" or "classes" do you gravitate to the most? Why?I usually gravitate toward ranged fighting or support classes, but not strait healing. Red Mage in FFXI, Hunter and Warlock (ranged caster with pets) in WoW, Mages and Rangers in Guild Wars. I like trying out just about anything, but those seem to be what I like most. I don't think I like getting my hands dirty tanking or doing melee damage. 3) What types of typical fantasy races do you enjoy playing most? Why?Depends. All games have different character models and that is what makes me choose a race and sex of my character over anything else. I need something that I don't mind staring at for hours a day. Male humans, night elfs and all dwarfs in WoW and galka, male elvaan in FFXI = FUGLY. Female humans, night elves and male gnomes in WoW and all humes, mithra and female elvaan in FFXI = races/genders I'd choose. 4) What is most important to you in an MMORPG? Graphics, gameplay, micro-management of your character (crafting, housing, customization, etc.), community, longevity, quest systems, something else?Community definately ranks up there. Without decent people to play with you might as well go play Oblivion or a console Final Fantasy game. But its a conglomeration of features that make an MMORPG worth playing, in my opinion. Community, micro-management of character and the fun of leveling up (which I guess is included under "gameplay") are all most important, I suppose. 5) Briefly describe how you arrived at playing the MMORPG you are currently playing.Been a console gamer for years. Decided to try FFXI because of the Final Fantasy name attached to it. Loved it at first, got tired of the tediousness of it and the waste of in-game time that was happening between looking for party members and traveling and the time it took to do quests and missions. Beta tested WoW on the request of a friend, liked it, bought it. Didn't quit FFXI to play WoW heavily until about six months after WoW was released due to massive server instability in that initial time frame with WoW. Switched to WoW about a year and a half ago and haven't looked back since. 6) How many hours a week do you usually play MMORPGs?Depends. Sometimes I take the weekends off, sometimes I play through the weekends. I'm in-game roughly five hours a night during the week, so that's 25 hours right there. When I play a lot on the weekends I usually stay up pretty late Friday and Saturday nights playing, so probably 8-10 hours a day those days. 7) Name one thing about your favorite MMORPG that you dislike. The PVP honor system! Thankfully, that's getting majorly reworked for the better in the expansion. 8) Name one thing about an MMORPG that isn't your favorite that you like and wish was a feature in your favorite game. The epic missions and chocobo-breeding-like mini-games from FFXI. 9) Are you open-minded and willing to try other MMORPGs, or close-minded and only stick with what you've played and liked? Why?Always willing to try new and different things. I usually end up wishing some features from all the games I try are part of the game I'm currently playing...lol. Its important not to be closed-minded. Many people are because of what they've heard, but I've never been one to go on word of mouth or critics reviews alone. I like to see and experience for myself. I've tried Everquest 2, Dark Age of Camelot, EVE Online and a few others and just found them not very engaging during the time I played. Although, EVE Online was a COMPLETELY different take on the MMO genre, and had many fun aspects to it, it wasn't what I consider "fun" in the longrun. Besides the three main MMOs I've played, that one is probably the one I tried to like the most. 10) What MMORPG are you looking forward to trying out in the future?Vanguard: Saga of Heroes is definately going to get a try from me, whether in open beta or in final release.

1) What MMORPGs have you played and how long on each?(In Order) SWG: 2 Months, cuz it didnt run well on my computer. FFXI: For the better part of 3 years now..goin on 4 at the end of this month. FFXI Playtime: 123 Days 16 Hours 36 Minutes 48 Seconds. WoW, eh 3 months I think it was. Guild Wars: a week? lmao. I beat the story already so I said screw it. 2) What types of typical MMO "jobs" or "classes" do you gravitate to the most? Why? I always end up with a tank class, wether I like it or not. 3) What types of typical fantasy races do you enjoy playing most? Why? On FFXI, I chose the ballanced race, because you can switch jobs all around and I wanted to try everything. Everything else, I gravitate towards human usually to be normal... except on SWG I was a Twelic (sp?) 4) What is most important to you in an MMORPG? Graphics, gameplay, micro-management of your character (crafting, housing, customization, etc.), community, longevity, quest systems, something else? Community by far. I hate feeling alone within a MMO. 5) Briefly describe how you arrived at playing the MMORPG you are currently playing. I'd been a Final Fantasy geek since I was little and then it came out and I was like "ZOMG" 6) How many hours a week do you usually play MMORPGs? Oh jeez. Um.. as many as I can spare. But usually im not "playing" just talking to people, which I enjoy very much =D, but I'd say I spend like 6-8 hours in game normally, but depends what Im doing that day. Somedays I wont show at all, some days I'll be on 24 hours its hard to tell. 7) Name one thing about your favorite MMORPG that you dislike. I dislike that there is not "end game" type things for lower levels. I think stuff like that might make the game more enjoyable for those who just grind and grind all day. Also, I wish there were dynamis's for ppl starting @ lvl 20, so you can start collecting currency early in the game. 8) Name one thing about an MMORPG that isn't your favorite that you like and wish was a feature in your favorite game. I liked the PVP in WoW. That was by far the best part for me. Very fun to play capture the flag. If I ever came back it'd be for that. 9) Are you open-minded and willing to try other MMORPGs, or close-minded and only stick with what you've played and liked? Why? Well, this question is kinda a trick question. Im open minded to try any MMO, but will I stick with it if I dont enjoy it? No. 10) What MMORPG are you looking forward to trying out in the future? The new one SE is coming out with, and maybe going back to WoW for a bit, and maybe trying Vanguard, Idk, I really want to get to End Game on FFXI.

1) What MMORPGs have you played and how long on each?Just FFXI so far and a little more then 2 years of it. 2) What types of typical MMO "jobs" or "classes" do you gravitate to the most? Why?Melees Mainly tanks however, I like being the center of attention... XP 3) What types of typical fantasy races do you enjoy playing most? Why?Pointy ears! 4) What is most important to you in an MMORPG? Graphics, gameplay, micro-management of your character (crafting, housing, customization, etc.), community, longevity, quest systems, something else?I agree with both of you, community comes first. After that, they're all important ^^; 5) Briefly describe how you arrived at playing the MMORPG you are currently playing.Same as Chadwick here, an online FF RPG just seemed like God's gift to man lol I played over at Chad's place for...eh, couple of months. Got my original character to 15 ^^ (Booya!) until I finally got an ethernet cord run to my room Started up Rovec and here I am today. 6) How many hours a week do you usually play MMORPGs?You prolly dun wanna know 7) Name one thing about your favorite MMORPG that you dislike. BASTOK! Er...I mean, as much as FFXI is based around groups, a little more solo content couldn't hurt =/ Atm, if you're not a beast you can basicly only solo. . .crafting. 8) Name one thing about an MMORPG that isn't your favorite that you like and wish was a feature in your favorite game.I dunno much about other MMOs :x Can't think of anythin' off the top of my head. 9) Are you open-minded and willing to try other MMORPGs, or close-minded and only stick with what you've played and liked? Why? I wouldn't mind trying others...but I'd really dread ever leaving FFXI. I've spent two years of my life workin' on this lol I dun wanna give it up easily. In all honesty I'm prolly closed minded, cause I'm waitin' to see what other MMOs SE makes lol 10) What MMORPG are you looking forward to trying out in the future? w/e SE comes up with

1) What MMORPGs have you played and how long on each?a) City of Heroes - 3 months b) Guild Wars - 2 months c) FFXI - 1 year on and off d) Saga of Ryzom - 1 month c) EQII 2 months 2) What types of typical MMO "jobs" or "classes" do you gravitate to the most? Why?So far I'm the rogue type, or the one job in the game that is most flexible. I like a little bit of everything, backstabbing and treasure hunting make my day. 3) What types of typical fantasy races do you enjoy playing most? Why?I usually gravitate to the most feminine, so Mithra and Wood Elf. 4) What is most important to you in an MMORPG? Graphics, gameplay, micro-management of your character (crafting, housing, customization, etc.), community, longevity, quest systems, something else?Graphics, I love design and art and I can't game in a world that doesn't make me drool. And that has nothing to do with age either but quality, I still Morrowind because of all the beauty mods. Next is community, you need good people to really enjoy an mmo, quality of quests since I spend most of my time doing them. 5) Briefly describe how you arrived at playing the MMORPG you are currently playing.I've been a fan of Final Fantasy since I moved in with 3 boys who played the playstation, one of them was a FF fan since nintendo and he introduced me to FF8, then I got my own system and games lol. 6) How many hours a week do you usually play MMORPGs?I'd say 20+, I'm off an on a lot, I basically get on whenever I get a chance, unless I'm sleeping ^^ 7) Name one thing about your favorite MMORPG that you dislike.Holy man! Camping mobs for drops that may or may not happen grrr.. Can't stand it. 8) Name one thing about an MMORPG that isn't your favorite that you like and wish was a feature in your favorite game.Housing from EQII with your own private auction window or 'board', and pets, I had a kitten that I could interact with, feed, scold, pet ect.. 9) Are you open-minded and willing to try other MMORPGs, or close-minded and only stick with what you've played and liked? Why?I like things that are different, one thing I can't move away from is feature richness, FFXI is so full of different features that anything less I can't play for very long. But I'm open to other stories and worlds. I'm kinda sick of orcs and elves tbh.. 10) What MMORPG are you looking forward to trying out in the future?Eek I got a few I want to try ^^; I'm in beta for Spellborn, and I highly recommend everyone here to try it once it comes into open beta, it's different but somewhat familiar, I can't say much except that it's neat. I want to try Aion too, it looks like Guild Wars but better and they promise little grind with a grand story line, and you got wings, I've always wanted wings lol . Vanguard I might try to, I know a few ppl who'll get into it so I should give it an honest go, even if I'm sick of elves.. *sigh* Last one is the mystery new mmo SquareEnix is working on, the one that may of may not be FFXI-2, but I can bet anything IS at the least a Final Fantasy. I'd get Vista just for it, but that won't come around until 2008-2009 knowing Square...

1) What MMORPGs have you played and how long on each? FFXI = 1.2 years and counting WOW = 3 weeks to lvl 20 at a friends hows. Guild wars = beta test Diablo 2 (if you count it) uhh i lost track BARBARIAN FTW lineage 2 = about 3 months 2) What types of typical MMO "jobs" or "classes" do you gravitate to the most? Why? Melee DD or Tank. ive tried mages but the only one ive ever had fun with or been good at is in FFXI and thats red mage
3) What types of typical fantasy races do you enjoy playing most? Why? I usually gravitate twords more balanced races so i am no hindered by a huge disadvantage of the race. for example tarutaru has bad HP and that would make me mad if i had to deal with it.
4) What is most important to you in an MMORPG? Graphics, gameplay, micro-management of your character (crafting, housing, customization, etc.), community, longevity, quest systems, something else? Definatly community. if i have no friends to play with then there is no point on playing.
5) Briefly describe how you arrived at playing the MMORPG you are currently playing. well i had tried WOW and uhh wasnt WOWed. me and jemi needed something to do in our spare time and i had played a bit of FFXI in the past and told her about it. She went out and bought it the next day and had a character made before me. she had to get me a world pass and thats how we ended up on leviathen.
6) How many hours a week do you usually play MMORPGs? Uhhh depends on the week. i would say on average 5-18.
7) Name one thing about your favorite MMORPG that you dislike. slow movement speed of FFXI sometimes drives me nuts. even thought the trip dosent take that long you really really look like your moving sooooo slow. arg.
8) Name one thing about an MMORPG that isn't your favorite that you like and wish was a feature in your favorite game. Jumping. i did like jumping around like a moron in wow it was fun.
9) Are you open-minded and willing to try other MMORPGs, or close-minded and only stick with what you've played and liked? Why? semi closed. im willing to try other mmos but for the trial period only. im not going to switch. ive put too much time into Kenji to switch. and not to mention this is something me and jemi do together soooo nah.
10) What MMORPG are you looking forward to trying out in the future? World of STARCRAFT. DO YOU HEAR ME BLIZZARD WORLD OF STARCRAFT!!!! PLEASE!!!!

1) What MMORPGs have you played and how long on each? FFXI year+ EQ2 trial period WoW trial period Plane Shift 2-3 months Guild Wars Beta Test Conquor Online 2 months W.I.S.H. Beta test RuneScape 6 Months (does this really count? I think not and no I didn't pay for membership, I am not that big of a loser) D2 4+ years...though it's more of an action RPG There are others that I can't remember atm, so maybe I'll research their names again and update this post.
2) What types of typical MMO "jobs" or "classes" do you gravitate to the most? Why? Mages. I like to healer or be be a red mage of sorts. Just usually have fun having both sides in one. Not normally the strongest end game, but they are what's fun to me.
3) What types of typical fantasy races do you enjoy playing most? Why? Elves, the ugliest race, or the cute subhumanish one. Just depends on the game.
4) What is most important to you in an MMORPG? Graphics, gameplay, micro-management of your character (crafting, housing, customization, etc.), community, longevity, quest systems, something else? I like a game that I can enjoy for long periods of time, not in like long sessions but it just donesn't get old.
Questing is usually my favorite part. and Group work. Crafting is usually nice, but most games never make the process of leveling up a craft fun.
5) Briefly describe how you arrived at playing the MMORPG you are currently playing. Wanting to play one with Kenji and our friends weighed the options and decided FFXI was the best choice for me in content and price. and funness.
6) How many hours a week do you usually play MMORPGs? Depends on school, but I'd say between 3 - 10 hours.
7) Name one thing about your favorite MMORPG that you dislike. Finding a party is very dull, and long if you don't have something else to do like questing or HW or another game while you wait.
8) Name one thing about an MMORPG that isn't your favorite that you like and wish was a feature in your favorite game.
Random jumping. I love games with jumping, not just rpgs. Often I don't walk to locations but rather jump. Legend of Zelda I'd roll instead XD
9) Are you open-minded and willing to try other MMORPGs, or close-minded and only stick with what you've played and liked? Why?
I love to try games. I normally don't stick to ones for very long periods of time, so finding something to replace it is a must because I don't watch T.V. and there aren't enough books in the world that I enjoy for me.
Point and case with all the trials and beta tests from question one. and not all of them are even listed >.< curse my memory for names.
10) What MMORPG are you looking forward to trying out in the future?
Not really one I'm looking forward so much that I'm about to wet myself that I've heard of. Mostly just console games I want atm.
