he claims to have gotten 14k exp/hr @_@ and never once lost hate so the melee could GO ALL OUT (tear the mob a new one). mazuka = more hate then provoke and can be casted every 20 sec or less, also.. i've noticed (since i was leveling brd) that their songs can't be interrupted by any normal attacks (only stun move, sleep, paralyze, and terror) hmm... i'll have to grab char and prophet and go try this out  here's the post: ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/jobs.html?fjob=5;mid=117097801629747117;num=13;page=1I don't think SE will nerf this at all, their goal is to get us away from HAVING to sub /war for an exp party and for melee to get away from /nin. good step in the right direction ;D |

just a side note, today I got 18k per hour (brd, brd, mnk, mnk, mnk, rdm) but yeah still willing to give this a try |

/envys Prophet ; ; I've heard a lot of interestin' things about /brd. Always cool to have a few options for a sub job, but it just seems against the cosmic order of things for a tank to be singing while bein' beat down by a monster |

Me and Char just tryed this out today, we were getting 14k/hr with brd. set up was DRG/WHM, DRG/BLU (char), 2xMNK/WAR, PLD/BRD (me ) and BRD/NIN. BRD was casting min and march. We were doing great till the the monks and bard had to leave. we invited another 2xmnk and a COR, that was our mistake... the COR wouldn't pull so I had to, and the mnks seemed to be holding back for some reason. Anyways exp drops considerably, I didn't have a exp watch (bard told be exp above before he left) so I'mma say around 6-8k exp. Charron's refresh wore towards the end and he had to rest after fights :/ but over all I got 2 merits in 3hrs, not bad. oh and as for hate, I held it fairly well, had to switch to Durandal and use Harmonia's Torque full time, but even then the monks had a difficult time pulling hate off me after a second mazurka. Colibri kept returning my Flashes -.-;; Next time I wanna try a different camp, if mamool ja staging point is open that might be a good place to try. |

Pulling is a fickle business lol Unless the cor is subbing ninjar (a lot do, but there are a lot who sub rng too) they've really got no advantages while pulling. Thfs have naturally high eva. bards can sleep mobs and pull in multiple at once with no problem, ninjars have Ninjutsu, but cor doesn't have anything more then any other job.
Though, on that note, anyone who can pull should be ready to assist the party that way, like Cyc did.

you forget they have Light and Dark shot for Sleep/Dispel. and the COR is standing outside of the party so he could pull monsters before they are dead, unlike me I have to wait for the monster to die then run out and grab a monster. other wise the whole party is telling me to "STOP" lol. It's just easier for the COR to pull when he sees the monster close to dieing.
Added: oh and I noticed that the Colibri out there were reflecting the BRD songs. when we started we were all getting horde lullaby xD freaking Reflect. So bards don't have an advantage out there anyways. he eventually switched to casting Elegy, but I would have prefered Foe requiem.

True, I did forget about light shot @.@' Dang I'm a newblet lol I agree, cor is way better then you for pulling even if they didn't have lgiht shot. Tanks should never be the ones pulling @_@'
