I'm in an end-game guild in WoW, and let me tell you, its work. The normal members find it fun and exciting to kill end-game bosses and get loot every week, but the officers (I'm the class officer for hunters) its a whole different story.
Yes, we look forward to new encounters and loot, as well, but dealing with the people takes a lot of freaking time and energy. Getting everyone ready for end-game, taking care of class issues, overall guild issues, planning raids, working on getting certain gear crafted for our classes, settling disputes, dealing with raid point totals, and the list goes on and on.
Its much better to just stay in a casual LS and join end-game LSs occasionally when you want to. I wish I could do that in WoW.
Don't get me wrong, this guild I'm in is really awesome, and I get along well with all the other officers and the members of the guild. We have fun together, we get loot and just generally pwn things. But everything that goes into it is insane...now I know what the leaders of my old Dynamis guild had to put up with and go through..

Wise words there! It takes a special kinda person to be able to do that...heck, I can hardly run this LS x.x (notice, I hardly do anything XD). No way I could do an end-game LS. Much better to be a member and work hard not to make any fuss lol
